Shared Decision Making (SDM) is highlighted as being critical to navigating COVID-19 together with families and providers by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), interim guidance, Caring for Children and Youth With Special Health Care Needs During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Family Voices has created a tool for families that provides more information about this concept, and some examples of how to initiate conversations with their care team. It is important to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so how can families keep their children safe while allowing them to be kids, continue to learn, and have access to their community?

The tool can be downloaded here.  Please share with your networks, and let us know how you have used this tool with your children, or families you work with!
