The world of health care advocacy lost a powerful but modest leader, Rob Restuccia, who was considered by many to be the “father of health care reform.” In the words of Family Voices Executive Director Nora Wells, “In creating and leading Health Care for All, the Massachusetts advocacy organization for universal healthcare, and then in his leadership of the national Community Catalyst organization, Rob was a rock star, with no need for stardom. Often behind the scenes, he helped to craft many health care reforms, both in Massachusetts and in the nation, that have improved the lives of millions.” For more about Rob, see the Rob Restuccia, Key Architect of the Health Reform Movement, Dies at Age 69 (Community Catalyst Press Release, 3/1/19).
