CDC Expands Autism Monitoring Efforts (Disability Scoop, 8/23/18)
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has announced the availability of research grants to assess 16-year-olds who were previously identified as having autism symptoms when they were age 8. The grant announcement: Enhancing Public Health Surveillance of Autism Spectrum Disorder through the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring (ADDM) Network (posted by the CDC on 8/1/18).
MCHB Grand Challenges
As reported earlier, the Maternal and Child Health Bureau will award four prizes in a Grand Challenges competition to develop innovative, low-cost, and scalable solutions to improve the health of mothers and children across the U.S. The Care Coordination for CSHCN Challenge page has been updated.
