Aug. 16CMS Streamlines Medicaid Review Process, Achieves Significant Reduction in Approval Times.…Today, CMS issued a second Informational Bulletin related to [state plan amendment (SPA)] and 1915 waiver process improvements. This Bulletin provides an update on CMS’ collaboration with states since release of the first Bulletin, outlines the initial strategies CMS adopted to implement more efficient SPA and 1915 waiver review and adjudication processes, and highlights additional long term process improvements CMS has implemented.”

Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a letter to state Health Officials and Medicaid Directors that provides guidance regarding expectations for Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) data and ensuring ongoing Transformed-MSIS (T-MSIS) data quality.
