Georgetown University Center for Children and Families (CCF)
- Which States Are Seeing the Largest Declines in Child Medicaid/CHIP Enrollment?: Georgetown CCF’s blog takes a closer look at the states with the largest decline in the number of children in Medicaid or CHIP and potential policies that could be driving the decline.
- CMS Updates the Medicaid EPSDT Playbook for States: Here’s What You Need to Know: Georgetown CCF’s blog outlines the new EPSDT guidance from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS). The 2026 Guide does not create new policy, but is a resource that “compiles decades of guidance in one place.” The Guide reorganizes the materials and adds new sections, including dedicated discussions of health homes, interagency coordination, and a standalone section on state and federal quality reporting and monitoring of EPSDT. Read more for highlights and CCF’s recommendations where the Guide could have gone further.
Child Trends
- How Fathers Spend Time With Their Children: Child Trend’s analysis of new nationally representative data using the AmeriSpeak®panel shows that, overall, fathers who live with their children (or “resident fathers”) are positively involved in their children’s lives. Many spend quality time providing nurturing support, engage in physical activity, and establish family routines with both younger and older children in their homes.
Thorn Run Partners (TRP)
- TRP provides a state-by-state “roadmap” that translates each state’s Rural Health Transformation Program application into a profile of proposed initiatives, priority activity areas, use-of-fund categories, and award amounts.
