Family Voices’ Board of Directors announces that Dr. Allysa Ware will be stepping down as Executive Director, effective October 31, 2026, after three and a half years of dedicated leadership. During her tenure, Allysa has been a steady and passionate advocate for the families and communities Family Voices serves. The Board is deeply grateful for her contributions and the strong foundation she has helped build for the organization’s continued growth.
“Serving as Executive Director of Family Voices has been one of the great privileges of my career. I’m proud of what we’ve built together over the past three and a half years, and I’m confident in the strength of this organization and the people who carry its mission forward. I’m looking forward to supporting a smooth transition and helping set up the next Executive Director for success,” said Allysa Ware.
Allysa is leaving to pursue a new professional opportunity. To ensure a smooth transition, she has agreed to stay on in an advisory capacity: Allysa will serve as a Senior Advisor, supporting the Board through the search for a new Executive Director and assisting with that person’s onboarding once selected.
Nikki Montgomery, Family Voices’ Director of Strategy and Communications, was selected by the Board to serve as Interim Executive Director beginning November 1, 2026, ensuring continuity in Family Voices’ programs and operations while the search is underway.
The Board of Directors will begin a national search for Family Voices’ next Executive Director immediately. Additional details about the search process, including how to submit inquiries or nominations, will be shared in the coming weeks.
We thank Allysa for her years of service and are excited for what lies ahead as Family Voices continues its mission.
