As we approach 2024, I know the reauthorization of funding for the Family-to-Family Health Information Centers is on many of your minds. Like you, I am concerned about the continuing work of the F2Fs and the impact of reduced funding on children and families.

I have been in conversation with the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, highlighting and emphasizing the role of F2Fs across their many investments. Family Voices is committed to building a coalition that will support reauthorization, and even expansion, of F2F funding. We are working with a lobbying firm to gather support in Congress, with a goal of increasing F2F funding far beyond its current level. Brooke Lehmann of Capitol Works LLC is also hosting monthly office hours to support F2Fs as they advocate in their states.

Each F2F also plays a role in reauthorization, and the support from the lobbying firm and from Capitol Works LLC are intended to help each of you engage your federal delegation and gain support for reauthorization.

At the December network drop-in call, we will continue the conversation about funding for the F2Fs and what expanded funding could do for your organization. The information we share and gather will be used to craft messaging that will support us in finding champions and reaching our goal of reauthorization.
