Board Member
Stephanie Manfredo brings over a decade of lived and professional experience supporting children and youth with special healthcare needs. She serves as the Family Voices Program Lead at RIPIN, Rhode Island’s federally designated Family-to-Family Health Information Center and Family Voices Affiliate Organization. In this role, Stephanie supervises a dedicated team of peer professionals and champions equitable access to services for families navigating chronic conditions, developmental delays, and disabilities. She and her team work hard to deliver education, support, and technical assistance to families of children and youth with special healthcare needs, as well as partnering organizations that serve them through workshops and training, support groups, and one-on-one peer support.
Since joining RIPIN in 2018, Stephanie has advanced statewide initiatives to strengthen family support systems and improve care coordination. Her professional background includes direct work with Rhode Island’s Early Intervention programs, where she supported families during critical developmental stages. She also holds a Therapeutic Horseback Riding Instructor certification from PATH Intl., reflecting her commitment to inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Stephanie actively contributes to policy and systems change through her work with the Care Transformation Collaborative of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Coalition for Children and Families, and the Family Caregiver Alliance of Rhode Island. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the New England Regional Genetics Group, advocating for equitable access to genetic services for all children.
A graduate of the Rhode Island LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities) program, Stephanie is currently pursuing a degree in Public Health with a minor in Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University. Her commitment to inclusion and empowerment is deeply personal—she is the mother of three sons, including one with complex neurodevelopmental needs. This lived experience fuels her passion for ensuring that every child and family has access to the resources and opportunities needed to thrive. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys being active outdoors and spending quality time with her husband and sons, ages 13, 11, and 1.5 years old.
As a board member, Stephanie is committed to bringing a collaborative, family-centered perspective to decision-making and driving initiatives that create lasting, equitable change for children and families.
