Gene Education Needs Evaluation (GENE) at March of Dimes

DESCRIPTION

This partnership of the March of Dimes, the Genetic Alliance, Health Resources and Services Administration, and Family Voices seeks to develop, sustain and replicate models of genetics education for populations who are underserved and underrepresented. The primary goals of this project are to work with communities to develop a model for consumer genetics education and to increase participation of community members on public health policy initiatives regarding genetics. Family Voices:

      • participates on the coordinating council,
      • is actively involved in the community projects to serve underserved and underrepresented families, and
      • provides information and technical support for evaluation.
